ARTISTS FILL THE STUDIO SPACE

Grow Studios moved into Alice Billing House in January 2024 and since then, the main focus has been to fill the studio spaces with artists who would benefit from the location and affordability of the studio space.

As studio providers since 2007, and from working with the Creative Land Trust, we know there is a lack of affordable studio space in London so we were not surprised when we received a lot of interest in the studios.

We prioritised artists who were also residents of Newham and this has resulted in a high percentage of the artists who have taken on the studios are from within the borough.

With over 14 artists now on site, practices vary from weaving, painting, digital art, photography, textiles to social engaged and performance.
