Grow Studios is working with the charity Creative Land Trust (CLT) and London Borough of Newham to provide affordable studio space at Alice Billing House in Stratford.

As the Creative Land Trust looks to fund the North block at Alice Billing House to create more studio space, Grow Studios offering community and cultural events and creating an archive funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The charity is looking to secure freehold and long lease properties across London to ensure that artist workspace is protected at affordable rental levels in perpetuity.

In the case of Alice Billing House, the Creative Land Trust has taken on a 25-year lease from London Borough of Newham, and has provided a lease to Grow Studios to operate the building for them. The South block at Alice Billing House was renovated with funds provided by London Borough of Newham, Levelling Up Fund, Architectural Heritage Fund, London Legacy Development Corporation and the Mayor of London.

NATIONAL LOTTERY HERITAGE FUND

The National Lottery Fund is the largest funder of UK heritage and believe in the power of heritage to ignite the imagination, offer joy and inspiration, and to build pride in place and connection to the past.

The fund invests money raised by National Lottery players across the UK, in collaboration with a wide range of statutory bodies, as well as other National Lottery distributors. Their work is made possible thanks to the support of National Lottery players.

The National Lottery Fund is funding the Creative Land Trust so that Grow Studios can offer community and cultural events.
