ANDY MAC MANUS - WINDOW INSTALLATION
In August, Andy Mac Manus, a local Newham artist and designer will take part in Grow Studios’ artist-in-residency programme at Alice Billing House in Stratford. Over 4 days he will design, create, and install original artwork for the windows of the building.
Taking inspiration from the shapes, colours and history of the building, the artist will paint 12 bespoke designed boards and add them to the North Block. These boards, installed will help bring interest and intrigue to this soon-to-activated block.
The installation was launched on Sat 7 September as part of the Creative Industries Festival organised by the University of East London (UEL) which is an inclusive and dynamic platform for fostering change and collaboration.
